History
The first Super Saver was opened in 1984 at 48th & O Streets in Lincoln. At the time of its opening, it was the largest retail grocery store in the state in terms of square footage (60,000 square feet). Super Saver stores located in Lincoln, Grand Island, Columbus, Nebraska, and Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The Super Saver stores are owned and operated by B&R Stores, Inc. This Nebraska corporation operates exclusively in the retail grocery industry and has its headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska.
